Autism Support Program

We are proud to help families afford autism-related services not covered by insurance.

The Autism Support Program provides financial assistance to help families pay for services not covered by standard insurance. A few examples include music therapy, swim lessons, and guardianship.

Program Details

The Autism Support Program is available for individuals age 21 and under who live in our service area of Posey, Gibson, Warrick, Spencer, Pike, Knox, and Vanderburgh counties in Indiana.

This program is not based solely on financial need. We encourage anyone who struggles to pay for autism services for their child to submit an application. Applications are open in February of every year, and our Board of Directors make their decisions in March. Families then have one year to use the funds. However, we know waitlists in the tri-state can be lengthy, and we will work directly with the service provider and with the family if the time period of one year to use the funds needs to be extended.

We want to thank the following service providers for working with us on this program which provides financial relief for families.

  • Integrative Music Therapy

  • Easterseals Rehabilition Center

  • Brainpower Neurodevelopmental Center

  • Optimal Rhythms/ACCESS Academy

  • Brian Carroll

(legal counsel for guardianship/power of attorney)

  • Optimum Wellness Pharmacy

    (compounding pharmacy)

  • Healing Reins of Kentucky, Inc.

Families will have one year to use the assistance program towards their chosen service provider. If your child is waitlisted for a service you are wanting them to receive, we will work with your family in that instance.

Your family will not be receiving a physical check. Instead, Autism Evansville works directly with the provider to cover the costs of your chosen service.

Your private information will be redacted for Autism Evansville’s Board Of Directors. The only individual who will have access to your full information on the application is Executive Director, Kelsey Schapker.
