Family Fun Events

Our events bring individuals who have autism spectrum disorder, their siblings, and parents/caregivers together in a supportive recreational environment.

Opportunities for positive social interaction beyond the school setting.

Our Family Fun Events bring individuals who have autism spectrum disorder, their siblings, and parents/caregivers together in a supportive recreational environment. It’s a time that provides children and adolescents on the spectrum with opportunities for positive social interaction beyond the school setting.

Because Autism Evansville understands the challenges of entertaining the whole family at one time, parents/caregivers of children affected by ASD are invited to bring the family to these events, where they will enjoy themselves in a setting that gives everyone a sense of belonging.

These *free/low cost* events are held throughout the year at SkyZone, Sensory Sunday at cMoe (Children’s Museum of Evansville), Dig N Roll, and Vertical eXcape. Check our Facebook page: Autism Evansville for when the next event will be!

In addition to our Taking Steps for Autism Walk & 5K in April of every year, we also host our yearly Easter Egg Hunt in the spring, and Sensory Santa in December.

Plus, our event Night Out For Special Needs in October bridges the gap between special need families and first responders in the tri-state, and allows children and adults alike the opportunity to meet our local heroes, touch trucks, feel different equipment and enjoy a quieter version of National Night Out.
